Common presentations

Three claim types

Strains and sprains. The highest-volume claim type, and the one most dependent on self-reported pain. Back, neck and shoulder are what the protocols assess.

Slip, trip and fall. Separates the acute event from the degenerative condition the worker brought with them.

Cumulative and repetitive-stress presentations. Causation is inherently ambiguous, and a baseline draws a line between the job and the years before it.

The upper-body protocol assesses neck and shoulder together. If a neck claim later re-presents as a shoulder, there is already an objective read on that shoulder taken on the day of the incident.
